Check out these new photos of actors Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson from the set of the Hunger Games!

"Before arriving on set, Hutcherson hit the gym for an intense round of training to better embody a boy who's spent his childhood heaving sacks of flour. He put on about 15 pounds of muscle in three weeks."

Hunger Games vs. Twilight

Again the Hunger Games-Twilight comparison has come to our attention. E! Online has done some comparisons of the actors (pictures below). What do you guys think? Was the Twilight casting more appropriate than the Hunger Games, or will HG soar above and beyond?

Hunger Games Publicity

This week's Entertainment Weekly cover features Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, the two male leads in the Hunger Games movie.

The two stars had a great interview with EW and apparently during the filming process Josh and Liam have become quite close. Although their characters aren't exactly best friends, the two actors get along really well. Hopefully the on-screen chemistry will be just right now that the cast has bonded! Let's not forget about Jennifer Lawrence's EW cover either. Here she was featured with brunette hair a few months ago, and I think a lot of fans' problems with her blonde hair were put to rest. I was happily surprised, and this cover showed us her potential, at least appearance wise. Cross your fingers! Click here for JL's article.

Mockingjay Discussion

It has come to our attention that many people are confused or interested in a certain part of Mockingjay. So we decided to put it up for discussion. Topic: The song that Katniss remembers with her dad, The Hanging Tree. It's posted below if you forget the part:

The Hanging Tree:

"Are you, are you coming to the tree
When dead man called out for his love to flee
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree.

Are you, are you coming to the tree
Where I told you to run, so we'd both free.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree.

Are you, are you coming to the tree
Wear a necklace of rope, side by side with me.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree."

Do you think that this is a necessary addition to the story, or do you think it is just an overly grim part? If you think it's necessary, what does it add to the story or symbolize? Comment and let us know!

Fan Art!

Check out this new drawing: Gale vs Finnick vs Peeta. We think it's hilarious and very well done! The boys are portrayed really nicely and we especially like how they are physically fighting over Katniss!

Actresses Lyndsy Fonseca & Kaya Scodelario read script for 'The Hunger Games'

October 12th, 2010 3:58 pm ET

At least two young actresses are reading the screenplay for The Hunger Games movie, based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins.

Kaya Scodelario -- a fan favorite to play heroine Katniss Everdeen -- tweeted recently that she had been sent "a certain script for a film based on a book" but noted to her fans that "there is probably a million other people auditioning for the part."

Nikita actress Lyndsy Fonseca is also apparently reading the script for The Hunger Games.

“I actually just got sent the script,” she told NextMovie. “I haven’t read it yet. We’ll see. I’m actually flying to L.A. on Tuesday because I’ve been in ‘Nikita’ world – I don’t have any time off. But I have a week off now for the first time in two or three months and I’ve got a stack of scripts to get through. I know very little about it. I’ll talk to you after I read it.”

So far, no reliable public information about casting has been released (though potential scams have been posted on acting blogs.)

Producers are still hoping to begin production onThe Hunger Games in early 2011, with theatrical release in 2012.
